Takamatsu
Toshitsugu, born on March 1, 1888, was a true master of martial arts. He
spent his entire life in pursuit of perfection through Budo, a pursuit which
took him across Japan and China to test and further his knowledge. By the
time he died in 1972 he was headmaster of many Ryu-ha (“family
traditions”) of martial arts, granted to him by his grandfather and teacher
Toda Shinryuken Masamitsu, as well as Mizuta Yoshitaro Tadafusa and Ishitani
Matsutaro Takekage.
