I have not been able to find a quality wholesale vendor to supply me tabi, so instead of buying these retail and marking them up, I will simply point you to where you can buy quality jikka tabi (outdoor boots).  I have no affiliation with Cool East Market, but I have ordered from them before and they have always sent quality merchandise in a timely manner.  The reason I wear these tabi in particular is the extra reinforcement where the sole meets the boot (this is typically the first place to come apart on other tabi), and the design of the tread pattern on the sole is more aggressive and outdoor-friendly.  Most other tabi have a "tread pattern" designed for indoor mats.
